This weekend, my wife and I spent two days at an incredible student conference. The theme for the weekend was Greater.

As we worshiped the Name of Jesus and as messages were preached about Him, you could not help but think of how great He truly is. For a fact, there is no one greater than Jesus Christ. His greatness surpasses all the combined greatness you can imagine.

His grace is greater than any mistake or “screw up” that you have (or will) ever make. Many people turn away from accepting Jesus because they don’t think that He can forgive them for the mistakes that they have made. They believe the lie that they have gone “too far” for His grace to apply to them. There is no depth, no height or width that His grace cannot cover.

His love is greater than any love you have known apart from Him. His love is so amazing that He chose to die on the cross to prove to you just how much He loves you. There is no love on this earth that can remotely be compared to His love for you. We are some selfish and often times self-loving people. However, the love of Christ even suprasses our love for ourself. Now that is some unbelievable love!

My first question for you reading this… Do you personally know this love from Christ?

By “knowing” this love from Christ, I mean do you truly know and believe that He loves you? Have you accepted the TRUTH that Jesus Christ loves you so much, He was willing to die on the cross for you?

If you have never accepted the love of Christ because you don’t believe it or don’t believe that He could ever love you, then I would love to talk with you about that! The Bible tells us that “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

It says that God loved the “world”, not just the religious people, not just the good people, not just the popular people, not just the famous people, not just the athletic people. God loved the whole world and that includes you and me. So I want you to know, to understand and believe the love of Jesus Christ for you!

Now for my second question to you reading this… If you answered “Yes” that you know the love of Christ for yourself, then what are you doing with that?

As Christians, we are not called to just hold onto the love of Christ but rather to allow it to overflow to those around us. So the real question is, who are you telling about the love of Jesus? Who are we sharing the love of Jesus with? For most of us, we have an opportunity each and every day to share the love of Christ with someone. Whether that be at school, work, the grocery store or even in our own homes. Are we being a reflection of that love to those around us?

May we love and have compassion for those around us the way that Jesus has for all of us.
